2019 Game Gallery

Here are some photos from the first ever Wudzy AFL Basketball Game played on January 16th, 2019. Click on any image to open it and see the full photo.

Photos include Rob Mills who performed the Australian National Anthem, Karen Pearce delivered the ‘Welcome to Country’ address, in recognition of the traditional owners of the land, the ‘Voice of Melbourne’ Wayne Peterson was our MC and announcer, with Comedian and DJ Gavin Ingham combining beautifully with Wayne to provide the music and audio. Our referees were Daniel Battye and Raoul Kirsten and we were also privelaged to have the Melbourne United Cheerleders keeping us entertained.

Our coaches were Darren Smith (NBL), Kevin Goorjian (NBL), Simon Mitchell (NBL) and Todd Goldstein (AFL – a last minute fill-in for Jason Smith (NBL) who was originally set to coach) and our players were : Chris Anstey (NBL), Sam Short (NBL), Nathan Brown (AFL), Chris Egan (AFL), Ovie Magbegor (NBL1), Jarrad Waite (AFL), Mark Worthington (NBL), Tenaya Phillips (WNBL/VFLW), Matt Dea (AFL), Chris Johnson (AFL), Peter Hooley (NBL), Nathan Lovett-Murray (AFL), Craig Moller (NBL/AFL), Tohi Smith-Milner (NBL), Tanarly Hood, David Stiff (NBL), Noah Gown (AFL), Andrew Parkinson (NBL), Chad Wingard (AFL), Christian Petracca (AFL), Corey Maynard (NBL/AFL), Tegan Cunningham (WNBL/AFLW) and Jake King (AFL).
