Wudzy Foundation
The charitable arm of Wudzy Inc. that works with our registered charity partners to distribute the funds raised by our Wudzy App, the Wudzy AFL Basketball Game and our other fundraising initiatives.
‘The Chicks’ – as they are affectionately known – are a Melbourne, Australia based group of extremely generous women who have raised approximately $1million dollars for local families in need. Since 2008, with help from their fabulous sponsors and through their countless fundraising events, these ladies have helped ease the burden for many people who were in need of support.
Whether it be financial assistance, organising food and clothing, cleaning the house or just emotional support in times of trouble, they have been a godsend to many – including a family whose home burned down, a single mother needing support to help look after a terminally ill child – and so many more.
More often than not, they are called on to help families who have been affected by cancer. They swiftly swing into action and help pay for treatment, medical bills, household expenses or even a holiday for the family so they can spend quality time with their loved ones. They also provide home cooked meals, fresh groceries and a shoulder to cry on. Whatever is needed, they are only too happy, ready, willing and able to help.
Importantly, the money they raise goes directly to those who need it. This is very much aligned with the values of Wudzy Inc. It is for this reason that we have chosen Chicks for Charity as the nominated charity, that we will donate the funds we raise through the Wudzy App and AFL Basketball game to, for distribution to those cancer patients and their families who desperately need help now.
